What You Get – Mold Testing | Prime Air Labs
Every Inspection Includes

Here's Exactly What
You're Getting

No hidden fees. No upsells. Every inspection comes with the same thorough process — conducted by a certified inspector following IICRC S520 and IAC2 standards.

Full Home Mold Assessment

A complete top-to-bottom evaluation from attic to basement by a certified mold inspector — checking for visible mold, water damage, and conditions that allow mold to grow.

Comprehensive Moisture Readings

Detailed measurements throughout the home using precision moisture meters and hygrometers to identify areas where mold growth conditions exist — even before mold appears.

Thermal Imaging Inspection

High-resolution infrared cameras detect cold spots behind walls and ceilings — finding hidden leaks and moisture intrusion without touching a single wall. We find what the naked eye misses.

Professional Air & Surface Sampling

Using the Zefon Z-Lite air sampling pump, we collect air samples from areas of concern plus a control sample. Swab and tape lift samples are taken wherever visible mold is identified.

AIHA-LAP Accredited Lab Results

Every sample goes to a third-party AIHA-LAP accredited laboratory — the gold standard in environmental testing. Results are typically ready within 3–5 business days and are legally defensible.

Full Written Report & Follow-Up Call

A detailed report covering inspection findings, lab results, and remediation recommendations based on IICRC S520 standards — plus a follow-up phone call so we can walk you through everything in plain English.

We don't perform mold remediation. Prime Air Labs operates completely independently — so every finding we give you is based solely on science, never influenced by the cost of a cleanup job.

Mold Sampling Methods | Prime Air Labs
How We Sample

Three Types of Sampling.
One Complete Picture.

When it comes to your family's health, data accuracy is everything. Depending on what we find during the visual inspection, we use one or more of three primary sampling methods — each designed to capture a different piece of the puzzle.

Air Sampling

Airborne Spore Detection

Used to detect "invisible" mold spores circulating in your breathing zone. Even when there's no visible mold, spores can be present in the air at levels that affect your health. Air sampling gives us a scientifically measurable count of what you and your family are actually breathing.

When We Use It

All inspections — a control sample is always collected first, then samples from each area of concern.

Swab Sampling

Species Identification

Used for visible growth to identify the specific genus and species of the mold present. Not all mold is the same — knowing exactly what type is growing helps determine the appropriate remediation approach and understand the health risks involved.

When We Use It

Wherever visible mold growth is identified during the visual inspection.

Tape Lift Samples

Non-Destructive Surface Analysis

A non-destructive way to capture and analyze surface mold for immediate lab identification. No cutting, no damage — a specialized tape is pressed against the surface, capturing mold particles that are then analyzed under a microscope at the lab.

When We Use It

Surface areas with suspected or visible mold where a non-invasive sample is preferred.

Our Sampling Protocol

A control sample is always collected at the start of every inspection to establish an outdoor baseline. Air samples are then taken in each "area of concern" — the rooms or spaces where mold activity is suspected. Swab or tape lift samples are collected wherever visible mold is identified. All samples are submitted same-day to our AIHA-LAP accredited third-party laboratory — results are interpreted solely based on the lab's findings, with no bias toward any remediation outcome.
